Girls with Guns - Go ahead, make our day
WANTED - Girlz with Gunz
Maybe you have already seen or heard about our little picture project on flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/bunnybrickworks/). We are working on a graphic novel, a full comic style book with pictures taken in SL. The first page is done and we now focus on a major picture-taking challenge: a mass scene with as many girlz with gunz as we can get.
The background: The story is set in a kind of post-apocalyptic future. Angels, once the guardians of mankind, have turned into predators. They fight with humans over their souls, fight with each other for territory. Well, they love to fight :)
A major part of this book will be the standoff between angels and an alliance of humans/ furries/nekos/vampires - we are not choosy when it comes to saving the world. Why girls? Well, who else would still be standing strong after wars and famines? And as Kipling once said:
'When the early Jesuit fathers preached to Hurons and Choctaws,
They prayed to be delivered from the vengeance of the squaws.
'Twas the women, not the warriors, turned those stark enthusiasts pale.
For the female of the species is more deadly than the male.'
And to be honest, girls look much cooler when wearing weapons ;) We do, of course, need a few guys to fill the corpse poseballs on the battlefield!
All shots will be taken in Midian City - Apocalypse which does not only provide the perfect setting but also allows the rezzing of poseballs.
So what do we need? You! Your guns! About two hours of your time! Your enthusiasm and patience when things don't rezz properly. Dress cool, camo and latex, leather and gasmasks, military gear, whatever you consider appropriate for this setting.
Here is the schedule for this week's photo shoots, we have included both Euro- and US-friendly times to accommodate as many of you as possible.
Friday, 7th November: 11 am PST
Friday, 7th November: 5 pm PST
Saturday, 8th November: 1 pm PST
Sunday, 9th November: 11 am PST
If you are interested, just send an IM to either Bunny Brickworks or Greta Gazov with a quick info whether you'll be using single or dual held guns so we can provide for enough different poseballs.
